ERM, the world's largest pure-play consultancy, has published a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Renewable Sweden to offer joint services in offshore wind power to support Sweden's energy transition.
Renewable Sweden specialises in delivering complex renewable energy projects in the Nordic region, including onshore and offshore wind power, solar energy and hydrogen. Services include market analysis, permitting, stakeholder management and lobbying.
Combined with ERM's extensive end-to-end expertise in renewable energy services, the partnership is designed to help Sweden accelerate its energy transition in line with its goal of reaching net zero emissions by 2045.
Sweden aims for 100% renewable electricity generation by 2040, and according to ERM's Global Renewable Infrastructure Projects database, renewable capacity is projected to double to 30.4 GW by 2030.
